HOW DOES THE TV INFLUENCE IN THE PEOPLE’S THINKING?
The propagation of the TV has made that it become the principal media of fun, it can influence positive or negative but unfortunately the negative impact is greatest.
Negatively the TV programs made people more laziness and lethargy and affect the children because they prefer watch TV that made their homework, and while we are watching TV our brains doesn’t work because only it is receiving information , this situation cause that we lost the ability of think. Also the TV programs that contain a lot of violence can made that our humor change and our behavior.
For the other part, some TV programs and commercials affect the self-esteem and the how to look the teens, many commercials use famous and beautiful persons to promote their products, they say with different words the same like this:” if you buy these products you can have you body like me”. It cause that many teens worry too much about their appearance and they fall in eating disorders.
Finally we must be mindful about the damage caused by TV and we should to know when we should stop to watch TV and made other thing different for relax our mind, in this way we will help to build a better society.

What do we have to do to have a happy day?
Almost everyone talks about happy days, but, what’s that? Or a better question, how can we have them? There are several investigations in Psychology; one of them is related to motivation. This theory says that all humans have some necessities, one of them is linked with biological systems, but others are related to psychology preferences or lacks.
Some of these psychological necessities are innate: self-determination, gregariousness and competence.
The self –determination happens when the people can make their own decisions without any conditions or manipulation and the context where they live let have that kind of decisions. For example, the parents should permit their kids to choose the clothes they want to use or what they want to eat, the same in the job, e.g. the worker should have the opportunity the take the projects that feel good. It can’t be confused with leniency because the rules exist, but they are not imposed, they are agreed.
The gregariousness is related with the feeling that everyone needs companies, profound relationships. The people need to feel that they have some to count on, is some cases someone who can protect them. They need to have social situations where this necessity can be counteracted and filled.
The last necessity is the competence that is different from competition. Competence is associated to the inner force that try to make you better everyday, but because you want to learn new things all the time. That’s why the curiosity can be put here. People can see this necessity when they want to dominate a skill, for example a sport or a musical instrument; they always want to practice until they can make the movement or the note perfectly.
That’s why, the studies show that the people must fulfill these necessities if the want to have a happy day, so be better everyday, make you own choices and encourage your friends.
Who is Bigfoot?
The scientific community considers Bigfoot to be a combination of folklore, misidentification, and hoaxes.Despite its dubious status, Bigfoot is one of the more famous examples of cryptozoologyand has become a popular symbol.
Bigfoot is described in reports as a large ape-like creature, ranging between 6–10 feet (1.8–3.0 m) tall, weighing in excess of 500 pounds (230 kg), and covered in dark brown or dark reddish hair. Alleged witnesses have described large eyes, a pronounced brow ridge, and a large, low-set forehead; the top of the head has been described as rounded and crested, similar to the sagittal crest of the male gorilla. Bigfoot is commonly reported to have a strong, unpleasant smell by those who have claimed to have encountered it. The enormous footprints for which it is named have been as large as 24 inches (61 cm) long and 8 inches (20 cm) wide. While most casts have five toes—like all known apes—some casts of alleged Bigfoot tracks have had numbers ranging from two to six. Some have also contained claw marks, making it likely that a portion came from known animals such as bears, which have four toes and claws. Proponents have also claimed that Bigfoot is omnivorous and mainly nocturnal.
About half of all Bigfoot sightings are concentrated in the Pacific Northwest, with a roughly equal number of sightings spread throughout the rest of North America. Some Bigfoot advocates, such as cryptozoologist John Willison Green, have postulated that Bigfoot is a worldwide phenomenon
fight against racism
New forms of discrimination have arisen, in association with certain scientific developments and the process of globalization. As a result of these new threats and the outbreak of violent inter-ethnic conflicts in many parts of the world in recent years, the international community decided to convene in 2001 in Durban, South Africa, the World Conference Against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance. In close collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), UNESCO participated actively in the Durban Conference, which was undoubtedly the high point of the Third United Nations Decade to Combat Racism and Racial Discrimination, which ended in 2003. In order to respond to the challenges emerging in modern societies, UNESCO has adopted in October 2003 a new Integrated Strategy to Combat Racism, Discrimination, Xenophobia and Intolerance (32C/13). In order to develop this strategy, UNESCO undertook a series of studies on different aspects and forms of racism, xenophobia and discrimination. A series of consultations in different regions in the world were also organized to discuss the regional specificities and priorities to be taken into account.

December: the most important season to work
Many people that find on december the oportunity to start a new experience in your own life. In this season a lot of schools or universities are on vacations, so they do not have anything to do in their house and try to find a job. Many start working in a store, in a bussines´s friend, etc.
In december it is the month that a lot of store need people, because this month that the store has a lot of sales. But this job it´s not easy, you have to work the entire december since 1 - 31. The reason that a lot of people work ina store its because the pay is excellent.
Any way you have to be decided and sure what means work on december and be prepared for that month.
Some people really don´t like obama
Is it further coincidence that this is the presidential candidate who's spiritual advisor for the last 20 years, and the man who married he and his wife, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr., is anti-semitic and claims that America supports terrorism, invited the 9/11 attack, invented the HIV virus as a means of genocide against African Americans, blames the Jews for the world's problems and seemingly enjoys the repeated rant of "God Damn America"? Is it a coincidence that this is the presidential candidate endorsed by Louis Farrakhan, the Nation of Islam, the New Black Panther Party and other anti-white and anti-semitic hate groups?
Is it anything less than a double standard and complete bigotry when Obama stereotypes with the phrase "typical white person", knowing that if Hillary Clinton, John McCain or any other non-African American recast the same phrase in the form of 'typical black person' they would themselves be cast a racist and their resignation demanded?
Are these behaviors that the American people can trust to their Commander-in-Chief? These are difficult questions that when posed individually can be easily dismissed, however, when posed collectively give the appearance of a pattern which is clearly not in the best interest of America.
Global Warming
In this essay a going to talk about the global Warming to day is considerate a huge problem, because this natural phenomenon can affect the life of the all human race. This phenomenon affects the growing land y the temperature off the Antarctic.
If the glaciers melt the level of the sea increment, and all coast city in the world are in danger and a high percents of the people can lost they home. Other aspect of the global warming is the political. The countries industrialized don’t want established green political that protects, ours forest, jungle, and all natural ambient, because this new politics would slow the accelerating economic progress of this countries.
The Global Warming increment the number of hurricane, twister, storm, around the world, this is one of the principal causes increment the number of homeless in some countries in South America and Asia, this homeless represent a social problem, because the government have to supply all the necessity of the people.
In a future the Global warming can make a seriously problem a war for the food and water, between nations, because the amount of food and water reduce dramatically.
Capitalism, a new way of cultural Holocaust.
Buying unnecessary things, addopting different behaviors that are not native from our places of living, will make us a copy of another cultures. When we compare capitalism with for example, Nazi Holocaust, we can see several things in common. Native people that lives in jungles, mountains, and places that are far away from the big cities, are now using technology from this places to solve problems in their communities.
Many cultures are now bombed by capitalism, for example, American traiditions are now been addopted by people in Latin America, make us losing our ways of living to use theirs.
Capitalism creates inequality in the society, because there is people that doesn't have the same acquiring capacities than others. Government should be more concerned about this situation because Capitalism is taking out our traditions and putting others instead.

Why the people visit museums?
The man is curious for nature, the man’s passion to discover and know stuff is like an instinct, we enjoy knowing and meeting new things. When we go to a place we have not visit before we feel curiosity to know all about that place, the culture, the art, the great artists, the fashion style, everything that we could identify about it. For instance we are going to Italy on vacations: I think when we go to Italy is not only to go shopping and go to the movies, we know that Italy is a country full of culture, tradition, customs and ethnicity, I am sure that all people that visit Italy for tourism will go to a museum to see the art and everything that they can find about the country behind that great culture.
When we go to a museum we can find a lot of things that tell us something about the place we are in. I think other reason for people to go to museums is to get to know something about the history and traditions which are part of the past of the country or city, in that way the tourist can learn something and understand why the festivals and holidays of the native people.
An illustration of that situation could be in our country Colombia, the museum that can show us the past of our culture, “El Museo Del Oro”, which was built specially to give us an idea about the older cultures, the different tribes, the art they made with gold, clay and mud, the traditions, our history, the independence, the colony, the conquest, the wars and all the events that left a memory in the olden times of our country. The tourist can go to “El Museo Del Oro” and find a lot of things related with our past, since pieces of clay and gold art, to weapons that our ancestors used to fight for our independence.
The museums are fascinating; we can find a lot of interesting things there. In a good museum we can find since modern paintings and pictures, to old pieces revealing the most traditional history of the place.
Finally, I conclude that people who visit museums, do it because they are interested in knowing new things and enjoy seeing stuff associated to the history of the place they are visiting. On the other hand, the people can enjoy the new and the older art, in the same place. The museums enrich the mind in a very exciting mixture of art and knowledge.

PUNK
Perhaps another booster was the economic and political crisis that lived then England, and that added to the disenchantment of young people by the lack of opportunities and rising unemployment, opened the gap to a movement that served as a cry of protest and that he found in the Attitudes rebels and anarchists escape from reality and the meaning of life. Thus, the punk emerges as a way to release the discontent.
There are two versions of the origin of the term: one that asserts that the name was given by the English press in a manner derogatory to refer to these groups of young people questioned, and protesters were demonstrating against the company and laid down.
And another that arose when Legs McNeil and John Holmstrom in the United States created a magazine to talk about ideas, music and the excesses of youth, who called Punk. Either way, the term became popular and not only gave his name to a new musical genre but a wealth of ideas and beliefs that were disseminated rapidly in the United States and Europe.

Teens and Smoking Tobacco
Teens like to act as if they are someone special or dangerous. By smoking they can act on those feelings. Because it is so forbidden it becomes more alluring to teens. The problem is that when they take that first puff, they can become addicted. The idea that they are breaking the law or going against their parents and schools is an addiction within itself. Kids like to get attention; it does not matter if it’s good attention or bad attention. They crave attention and by smoking they get big attention. The other teens look at them in all kinds of ways and the adults get upset and don’t know what to do.
The times are changing; what the public and science did not know twenty years ago is now coming to the surface. The fact is that smoking cigarettes can cause many health problems including emphysema, high blood pressure, and various forms of cancer. We are seeing people live longer and healthier lives and the old idea that smoking makes you cool and attractive is gone. This is the truth about cigarettes; they are loaded with harmful chemicals and the end result is that they are a dangerous drug that can seriously harm people.

DOES PHYSICAL PUNISHMENT HELP IN EDUCATION?
Today everyone talks about education: what should or shouldn’t parent have to do? What’s right or wrong? What can their actions cause in the future: the traumas or the happiness of their own kids? That’s why, today we see a considerable number of lost parent who try to think but at the end just act impulsively, sometimes hitting their kids and hurting them deeply, without any change in the behavior of their children. That’s why, I think that physical punishment doesn’t help in education and shouldn’t be used.
There are a lot of fields that have made fantastic advances in education and have helped to improve the way the people teach. The aggressiveness is something of our ancestors, so today, the way of managing the things is different and when people hit and fight they are returning and ignoring the mind evolution, just acting for their instincts like animals. In the past, the hits could work and sometimes there were specific dangerous situations where they can be necessary, but no more, a kid is not a real threat that can put in danger the lives of their parents. And if it is the case, that child needs special attention, not hits
We have to be aware that the parents have the obligation to educate and act like a model. When they hit their kids, they lose the control and they behave like their sons and daughters, it means like kids. So it seems that there’s no difference between adults and children. The parents send an implicit message: “I don’t know how to act and manage the situation, that’s why I use physical punishment and take advantage of my power position”
In spite of all, the most important things are that children don’t learn and there exist better methods. Studies show that punishment, specially, positive punishment, doesn’t educate, just produces that the kid doesn’t do the thing when someone is looking, so that means that he/she is not abstracting any lesson or moral. When parents talk with their kids, make agreements with them, reinforce good behaves, etc, they get better results and help their children to have critical thinking.
Finally, it is important to be aware of the idea that physical punishment doesn’t educate that at the end is the most important mission of a father or a mother. They have to act like the adults of the relationship, giving their kids the best environment to grow up, where they can think and be responsible for their acts and behaviors because they are conscious of, not just because they want to avoid a slap.

Why learn languages?
Everyone speaks English, right? Well, certainly not everyone speaks English. According to the CIA World Fact Book, only 5.6 % of the world's total population speaks English as a primary language. That number doubles when people who speak English as a second or third language are counted. By conservative estimates, that means that well over four-fifths of the world's population does not speak English.
It's true that English has become a global lingua franca ( language widely used beyond the population of its native ) over the past several decades; this fact, however, really should have little effect on your decision to learn a foreign language. The attitude that English alone is enough, in fact, creates self-imposed limitations. To remain monolingual is to stunt your educational development, to restrict your communication and thinking abilities, and to deny yourself the ability to fully appreciate and understand the world in which you live. Learning another language opens up new opportunities and gives you perspectives that you might never have encountered otherwise. Personal, professional, social, and economic considerations all point to the advantages of learning foreign languages.

how the music inflence
The lyrics of the song are the most important part, because in those the music producter can put all what he likes, for example in the pop music cd, they sale a dream of a perfect live, only if you are a stupid boy that live for money, belive on those dreams and influences.
But the pop music is not the only one that have this type of lyrics, for example in the beginning of the rap this conteins racism lyrics that told about the black power and the dead of the white people. But not all the music are bad, for example reggae talk about the peace, the respect and the live.
To the capitalism the music is a great industry for make money, because the new generations of teenagers are super consumers, the buy all that the tv ad show; and the music was the best way to said what is new and how they would be dress.
In this time the music is a way to control the maid of people.

Abortion - Another Name for Murder
with murder. Is this right? Believe it or not, this has happened more than
twenty-million times in the past twenty years. The problem is that they have
been killed legally because of abortion. Many people approve of
because they consider that a fetus is not an individual human until birth.
Abortion is wrong and it shouldn't be legal. If a doctor killed a baby
one minute after it were born, they would be charged with murder. But if they
were to kill a baby one minute before it were born, and a minute before that and
so on, they would not be considered a murderer. At what minute can one consider
life worthless and the next precious?
Some people will say that abortion is not a matter of life and death,
but medical research proves that the fetus is a living organism. People also
argue that a woman has the right to control her body and has the right to an
abortion, but the fetus is a completely different life. Just because the unborn
is dependent on the mother for nine months does not give anyone the right to end
it's life.
I hope that I have at least brought you to some understanding that a
human fetus is a living individual. It should be remembered that a death occurs
every time an abortion is performed--the death of an unborn child.
IS CAPOEIRA MARTIAL ART OR DANCING??
In this text you can get information about what is capoeira and a little bit of history because here in barranquilla are to many people that are afraid to practice or training this martial art because they think that this is more like a type of dancing and singing in a other language that call the spirits.
Capoeira is one of the most exciting martial arts in Brazil. The African slaves in Brazil created Capoeira hundreds of years ago to rebel against their Brazilian slave masters. Capoeira is considered an art form because it is used as for playing, fighting, acrobatics, dancing, music, theater, ritual and philosophy. These elements make Capoeira so different than any other type of martial art. African men also used Capoeira as a way to prepare for war thousands of years ago but it is now practiced as a dance without any type of physical contact; it depends of the groups that you practice.
There are one capoeira but different style to played or “jogar”, one is Angola that is the traditional form of Capoeira and one the hardest forms to learn because the movements are slower requiring a lot of strength, there is also an emphasis on religion, with Angola praise is always given to the spirits. Angola is played to slow music so that the performer can be deliberately and careful to his opponent, but Angola is more to the ground imitating movements of the snake. The next one is Benguela that is more movements with fancy kicks in this style we can see a lot of malice or “maginga” like capoeira’s fighter said also capoeristas that imitates movements of the scorpion and the monkey. There are to many styles but depends from this two styles like sao bento grande, sao bento pequeno, Bimba in this style we can see the physical contact .
Capoeira became legal in Brazil in 1920 then later came a master of Capoeira by the name of “Bimba” and opened the first Capoeira academy in 1932. In Capoeira you can learn the type of person you are by expressing your skills in the roda. The student must show that he is ready and dedicated to his superior by being disciplined in the practices of Capoeira. The players, beginning in the center of the roda with their hands and feet touching the ground, move toward the center of the circle and begin kicking, and defending against the other opponent.
Also have a lot of benefits such as in the physical way the intense cardiovascular workout, improve the flexibility, develops rhythm and coordination , in the intellectual way you can learn Portuguese, general afro-brazilians traditions in the psychological way reduce stress, improves focus and concentration, promotes self-control, discipline and in the social way promotes togetherness, celebrates diversity among other .
Finally, with all this information I can say that capoeira is a martial art, the unique one that combines martial arts, acrobatics movements and music.

The 5 Most Creative Ways to Clean Up Pollution
Chlorine Cuisine
If they make their way into the groundwater, chlorinated wastes, like those found in dry-cleaning fluids and paint thinner, can cause liver problems and cancer in people. But some bacteria find these chemicals quite palatable: When Dehalococcoides ethenogenes comes in contact with the chemicals, it feasts on chlorinated compounds, converting them into harmless gases.
Fly Ash Bricks
In the process of generating electricity, U.S. coal plants spew more than 70 million tons a year of a radioactive waste called fly ash. Now a Missouri company has found a way to turn the ash into bricks, an innovation that reduces fly ash while providing an extra benefit: The bricks soak up toxic mercury from the air.
Purging Pesticides
White rot fungi, common in the forests of North America, use special enzymes to convert the carbon in trees to energy. These same enzymes can oxidize environmental pollutants such as pesticides and PCBs, rendering them benign.
Flushing Iron
Metal toxins commonly found at mining sites could be treated with the stinky remains of human wastewater. The human waste, rife with iron, would be especially useful if dumped at sites loaded with cadmium, lead, and arsenic. The iron would readily react with the other metals and keep them from dissolving into nearby groundwater.
Plutonium Pyramids
Hematite, a shiny black mineral sometimes used to make jewelry, can soak up plutonium and uranium waste from nuclear plants. Scientists recently found that hematite crystals placed in acid grow pyramid-like structures on their surface. As the structures form, contaminants can settle into tiny pockets in the hematite crystal, where they could remain stable for hundreds of years.

The benefits of running in people
The benefits of vigorous exercise are well described. The American College of Sports Medicine Position Statement made a study about how moderate running improve health, it was shown in one study that individuals who ran more than 50 miles per week had significantly greater increases in HDL cholesterol, the good fat, and significantly greater decreases in body fat, triglyceride levels, and less risk of coronary heart disease than individuals who ran less than 10 miles per week.
Weight loss is one of the biggest reasons why people start running. As one of the most vigorous exercises out there, running is an extremely efficient way to burn calories and drop pounds. Running burns about 100 calories per mile for a 150-pound person. Because running also builds muscle mass, your resting metabolism will increase, which means that you'll burn more calories at rest. If you combine running with a healthy diet, you'll definitely notice a difference in the way you look and feel.
One of the benefits that people don’t pay attention is the social aspect because many people like to socialize and be part of a running community. Running clubs and charity training groups give people the opportunity to meet and train with other people. Some runners participate in local events or travel to race destinations with their running buddies.
Finally, I said recommend you if you change your habits of food take care of it because that will be affect your weight and cardiac system.

Good teachers VS good students
I’ve always had favorite teachers. They could be different: strict or lenient, with a sense of humor or serious, but they were always motivating. I’ve never expected them to come and put a piece of knowledge in my head, but I was always expecting them to show me the ways of getting the knowledge myself. Good teachers challenged my point of view and opened new horizons.
Now I’m a teacher myself and it made me understand that a teacher is just a part of the success. Student’s attitude plays a great role in the class’s success. I have many groups and even when I teach the same book, use the same jokes and anecdotes, my classes are different. They can be interesting and boring, useless and slow, fruitful and fast.
I think that higher education – this is a personal choice and responsibility. The Rector of my university was right when in his speech to us, freshmen, he said: “When you enter university, you have the opportunity to get 100% of knowledge, but a teacher can give you only 10% of it. The rest 90% depends on you. It’s up to you to decide what you get in the end.”
So, what are good students and good teachers for you? Share your experience and ideas.
